WALKING

Craik Forrest

Woodland trails and cycle tracks can be found around Craik village.

The Waterfall Walk beside the Aithouse Burn is stunning, at any time of year. There is the easy access 'Burnside trail' along the Borthwick water. A hide allows the fortunate to view the elusive red squirrel, alongside a variety of woodland birds.

Other forest walks.

Walks at Bowhill House - A little easier and very family friendly. Bowhill also have a Ranger Service who can guide you on wildlife spotting and the best walks and hiking trails.

We have many walks leading away from the house.

An Ordinance Survey map in the hall will help you select a route.

As we are right on the edge of the Craik Forrest, there are many cycling and walking routes.
