SIGHTS

The Great Polish Map of Scotland, Earlston - Little known and only recently refurbished. An unusual sight.

James Hogg Exhibition, Ettrick (Old School) - Our local, famous poet and author. The new exhibition site has now opened in the small village of Ettrick, on the B709.

Salmon Viewing Centre, Philiphaugh, near Selkirk - Stop for lunch at the Waterwheel and go a walk up Ettrick Water. Salmon jumping from late October.

Trimontium Heritage Centre, Melrose. Museum, walks, archeological site. Yes, the Romans did come further than Hadrian’s Wall.

Grey Mare’s Tail

Awesome after heavy rain. Nice walk to the waterfall or a more advanced hike to Lock Skeen.
